post labor day blahs

yesterday was so fun, ghoulie and bee came over loaded down with fresh brie and baguettes and mozzarella and we had those delicious things along with other sundry fruits, veggies, and other delicious cheeses and drank champagne mixed with mango lime juice. DELICIOUS! We watched thin man movies and I was very disappointed that we did not get to go swimming because the weather is so crappy. It's totally dark and dreary here today too. I have a bit of a sore head from champagne and am not looking forward to trudging around work today. i started knitting another hat for afghans for afghans since they added some time to their winter deadline. . . i am making a baby hat out of alpaca wool. i finally got my order from knitpicks and i can't stop playing with all my new yarn! it's a great deal if you are looking for inexpensive wool for charity knitting-- 1.99 for a hank of 100 %wool of 110 yards. you can't beat that! Aimee and Mr. B: Your yarn has arrived! Your scarf and hat should start flying off the needles!

If you're not busy on Oct 23rd, pop into the Yarn Tree in Hollywood. you might catch a glimpse of some of the Stitchin Betties knitting at the Yarn Tree's Purl Jam Knit A Thon.

The Yarn Tree has a sock class but it’s on Fridays from 10am to noon and I work at that time!! Hopefully at some point in the future they’ll offer one at night or on Saturdays. I also got the Knitting Queen shirt there … it’s SO cute. They actually have a few different shirts that are really cute. I also like “Yarn Ho” and once I was on a website that had a shirt that said “Knittin’ Kitten” and I should have bought it but didn’t and now I don’t remember the website!! By the way I have the kitten dishcloth pattern with me at work today that I said I’d send you like a month ago, but I don't have your email address.
