DISGUSTING!

Let's hope that this article not only changes shelter policies, but encourages more people to adopt from Animal Care. Over 800 animals a month euthanized-- and that's not even the most upsetting part of the report! Find out more about WSVN's investigative report on Broward County Animal Control HERE.

I couldn't read the entire article, because I could feel my lunch coming up.
The thing that is most annoying is that the cat overpopulation is avoidable, and therefore the suffering of these animals and the people who want to help them is also avoidable. It's sad that humanity is only as good as its weakest link.

The only positive thing I got from the article is that the people that are doing the euthanizing are compassionate. They recognize what needs to be done. Let's hope that this article gives them the power to make some changes. Many of the ideas they have would be so simple to implement. Also, hopefully, the broadcast taught people to get their animals spayed and neutered. Where I am in PR, there's lots of dogs running the streets and the males all have their "boys" fully intact. It's like the dark ages here for spaying and neutering.
